Meet the Founders & Co-Directors of Esther's Place

Tanya Wright was born and raised in Northern California. She and her son moved to Statesboro in 2013 after losing her husband in 2012 for a new start in life. Her mind set on seeing beauty come from ashes, she poured herself into serving in the community from handing out food at the food pantry to spending time with women in recovery.

Lori Brent was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After losing her job in 2020 due to cutbacks from Covid shutdowns and a multitude of family trauma, she and her husband were determined to find newness. With their love for the warm weather,  what better way for a fresh start than moving south to Statesboro Ga.
